In 1964, Berlin resident Roland Chabot took a chance on a landmark
Gorham storefront and opened Gorham Hardware. Later, the Main Street
shop came to include a wide selection of sporting goods.

Roland's son, Mike, undertook expansion of his father's iconic shop to
reflect his passion for NH sporting goods by establishing Gorham Hardware
and Sport Center. It has since become arguably the best sporting goods
shop in the North Country.

"I pass onto our customers everything that my father taught me about
hardware," notes Mike. "I also share my love and knowledge of the outdoors
with everyone who visits our store. And it's real world experience —
I just finished hiking all of the White Mountains' 4,000 foot high peaks."
